A documentary photography project capturing your family across all four seasons.
Life changes in the blink of an eye, and it’s easy to miss the small but meaningful moments while you’re in the middle of it all. A Year in the Life project captures your family’s story over 12 months so you can look back and truly see how everyone has grown and changed.
Why a Year in the Life and not a single session?
Single sessions are a great way to tell your family’s story and don’t require as big of a commitment. However, there are reasons why you might decide that a Year in the Life project is the kind of storytelling that works best for your family:
You’re welcoming a new baby and want to document their first year.
You’re only in Taiwan for a year and want the story of your family’s time here preserved.
You want to capture everyday moments across different times of day and seasons.
You get a family historian (me!) on retainer—without paying everything upfront.
If you intend to make a family photo album every year but never get around to it, you have the option of having me design a photobook for you that tells the story of your family’s year.
It’s more cost-effective than booking single sessions individually, while giving you a richer, more complete story of your family’s life.
Year in the Life Projects
Monthly
One session every month, twelve times a year. The closest thing to watching your family's story unfold in real time. This is the option for anyone who wants nothing to slip by unnoticed: the phase that lasted only a few weeks, the habit that appeared and disappeared before you could name it, the version of your kids that existed for one short season and then was gone.
9,000 NTD per session
Last session must be paid in advance as a deposit.
Bimonthly
Six sessions across the year—often enough to notice the changes, spread out enough to breathe between them. It's a good middle ground for families who want the full arc of a year, but at a pace that fits more easily into life.
10,000 NTD per session
Last session must be paid in advance as a deposit.
Quarterly
Four sessions, one for each season. This option provides a slower, wider lens on your family's year. Rather than following the day-to-day shifts, quarterly sessions capture the bigger turning points: a season change, a new skill, a different rhythm at home. It's a meaningful way to mark a year without the frequency of monthly or bimonthly visits.
11,000 NTD per session

Year in the Life projects include a private online gallery of all the best photos after each session. You’ll be able to download your photos and have access to the gallery for 6 months from the date of your final session.
Additionally, you have the option of having me design a photobook for you that tells the story of your family’s year (cost of the book not included).
