A Year in the Life

Telling the Story of Your Family’s Year

You know kids grow up and life changes in the blink of an eye, but it’s hard to see—much less savor— these changes when you’re in the middle of it all.

This is where I come in. I want to document your family life for an entire year so that you’ll be able to look back on this chapter in your family’s story. An entire year’s worth of photos will allow you to see how much everyone has grown and changed; there’s nothing better than working together on a long-term documentary project to tell the complete story of your family as it is right now.

  • One 2-hour session every other month for a year. (6 total)

    Includes a private online gallery of edited high-resolution photos after each session. You’ll be able to download your photos and have access to the gallery for 6 months from the date of your final session.

    Another perk of doing a Year in the Life project: If you want, I will use your favorite photos from your year to design a photobook for your family free of charge! (Cost of the photobook not included.)

    8,000 NT per session (best value)

    First and last session must be paid ahead of time to book.

  • Four 2-hour sessions spread out over one year. (4 total)

    Includes a private online gallery of edited high-resolution photos after each session. You’ll be able to download your photos and have access to the gallery for 6 months from the date of your final session.

Why a Year in the Life and not a single session?

Single sessions are a great way to tell your family’s story and don’t require as big of a commitment. However, there are reasons why you might decide that a Year in the Life project is the kind of storytelling that works best for your family:

  • You’re about to have a baby and it’s important to you to document your child’s first year.

  • You’re only in Taiwan for a year and you want to make sure the story of your family’s time here is on record.

  • You like the idea of documenting an entire year of your family’s life so you can look back at how your kids grew and changed during that time, plus you can capture moments from different times of the day and different times of the year.

  • You get a family historian (that’s me!) on retainer, but you don’t have to pay for it all at once.

  • The Year in the Life sessions are cheaper than single sessions! 😉
